Dear Readers,

What a great finale despite a not so good start! We spent a day in Nantes, where we were meant to boar on a little train to go around this lovely city. We got there in plenty of time, but after a lengthy wait, we were told that the train broke down on its way to us.
Not to panic, the pupils "favourite" guide was there to the rescue. We walked down to the Castle of the Dukes and after a short talk we walked around the walls and took some lovely pictures!

On our way back to the coach, we took a detour to the Saint-Pierre Cathedral to, yet again take a "family" picture.

It was then time to plunge into the world of Jules Vernes and his made up creatures from 20 000 leagues under the sea and various other novels.
We first went to look at the models made to recreate these creatures. Some members of the public had the opportunity to test some of the prototypes. Unfortunately, no one of our party got chosen. However, here are some pictures for you:

Most of the prototypes from the rooms we saw then, unless discarded for some reason, are supposed to end up in THE Caroussel.

We were able to have a good look at it, even choosing which creature we were going to ride on!

Some pupils really liked the second level, but some height restriction were imposed. So we stopped and thought... And decided to send a representative to the mark to ensure the happiness of all...

Our rep successfully passed the test and everyone was free to choose their ride for such a unique experience ;-)

Here are some pictures of the result:

On our way out of the Caroussel, we came face to face with a ginourmous but friendly elephant, too friendly at first as it tried to splash all of our pupils, but afterwards allowed us to take a picture with him :-)

After such a great day and dry by the way, even though it was originaly forecast rather wet, we made our way back to Derval to get ourselves ready for an evening of bowling and laser game... But looking at the time now, you will have to be patient and wait for the final blog over the weekend.
