Dear Readers,

We had a great outward journey, All pupils behaved really well and, for those who hosted back in October, they were eager to see their penfriends again.

As you know, we made our way to Portsmouth ferry port where we boarded, around 7pm, a huge ferry called "Le Bretagne".
On board, we were allocated a spacious room just to ourselves. Then, the pupils went to explore the ferry. Some looked at the shops, some went to the cinema lots went to eat something and others went to see the shows. Some even took part in one of the shows (See pictures below)

We all had to be back in the room by 11.00pm and the lights went out at 11.30pm. Needless to say that a large number of them weren't tired and didn't get much sleep last night.

This morning, a somewhat early call (6pm) with breafast only available until 6.45 ( British time!), but a bright morning welcome us, allowing some to go on deck to admire the view of St Malo where docked around 8.15am (French time).

Below, a picture of the party before leaving the ferry to get back on our coach:

A short journey on the French soil and we were finally reunited with our French hosts. But on the way we had time for a couple of selfies ;-)

That's all for today... Tomorrow, we have a busy day with a visit of the school and three lessons to attend ( a mixture of yr8 and 9 science, D&T, Maths, Spanish, PE, English, History-Geog and French) followed by an afternoon canoeing and, later on, a buffet with all the hosts at the boarding school.
I will tell you all about it in my next post, in the meantime, from all of us here to you back home we say: "Au revoir et à demain ;-) ".

Your Blogger,
FRJ
